BAKRYLEX Universal Mat dispersion varnish for wood colourless

BAKRYLEX LAKE UNIVERSE is a waterborne acrylic colourless varnish designed for interior painting of hard and soft wood, furniture parts, wood and cork tiles, plywood, etc. The varnish can also be used as a top coat for dispersion paints.

Meets the requirements of EN 71-3, Part 3: Safety of toys. Migration of certain elements.

Instructions for using wood varnish:

The dry wooden surface, well sanded with P80-150 sandpaper and free from dust, is impregnated with varnish diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio or with a suitable acrylic primer, e.g. REMAL UNIVERSAL PENETRATION. After the primer has dried for 2 hours, lightly sand the surface with P220-400 sandpaper and remove dust. Before use, mix the varnish thoroughly and apply 2-3 coats of undiluted varnish with a brush, roller or spray at an interval of approx. 4 hours. The finished coating dries within 4 hours against dust and takes 48 hours to reach final hardness. The temperature of the environment and materials during application must not fall below 10 °C.

Yield:

8 - 12 m² /kg for one coat.

Drying:

Dust drying within 4 hrs. The varnish reaches the desired properties within 48 hours.

Manipulation:

Observe basic hygiene rules when handling. The product is not intended for coating in direct contact with food, feed and drinking water. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention. The product is treated with a biocide. Contains the reaction mixture : 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC No. 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC No. 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause allergic
reaction.

Shelf life:

The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of manufacture in the original unopened container. Store in dry storage at 5 to 25 °C.

Disposal of packaging and waste:

Take used, properly emptied packaging to a packaging waste collection point. Dispose of packaging with product residue at a municipal hazardous waste disposal site or hand it over to a person authorised to handle hazardous waste. See also the product safety data sheet.
