Low-boiling hydrogenated technical gasoline is intended for rough degreasing, especially of metal objects, can be used in lighters and as fuel for gasoline pressure lamps. It is also used to dilute oil, fermage and synthetic air-drying paints.

According to ČSN 65 0201, technical gasolines are flammable liquids of the 1st danger class. From the point of view of occupational hygiene, these are substances harmful to health. Depending on the vapor concentration, it has a narcotic effect and irritates the mucous membranes. They cause headaches when inhaled, and can even cause unconsciousness after prolonged exposure. Sufficient ventilation must be ensured, especially in closed rooms. Technical benzines strongly degrease the skin, which causes it to crack, become more sensitive and allow infection to occur.
