Yield:
1.5 – 2.5 kg/m² (2 layers). The yield of Concrete Paint depends on the absorbency and preparation of the substrate, the thickness of the applied layers, the effect performed and even on the contractor. Tools: roller, trowel.
Substrate preparation:
The substrate should be dry, free of dust, grease and other impurities. Remains of paint and plaster and other layers not connected to the substrate must be removed. Apply a protective and base layer to the substrate with the deeply penetrating product Primacol Kontakt Grunt.
You can apply concrete paint to cement, lime and lime-cement plasters and, after appropriate treatment, to plasterboard. Before applying the paint, the surface should be protected with one coat of Kontakt Grunt to increase its adhesion.
Notice! Concrete paint does not tolerate gypsum well. In the case of gypsum plasters or any plaster surfaces, e.g. treated with plaster spatulas, it is necessary to apply two layers of Kontakt Grunt to isolate the surface.
Application:
Before use, mix the product thoroughly. Stir the paint frequently during application. Work at a temperature >5 °C, away from strong heat sources. Do not allow the paint to dry unevenly or too quickly.
Apply the paint with a roller to a surface of up to 1 m² and then adjust with a trowel. This method makes it possible to work with surfaces that are sufficiently moist and with surfaces that can be shaped easily. Check the degree of drying of the paint, if necessary, apply the paint in places that need to be replenished.
Suggestions for decorative effects:
Vibrated concrete effect (smooth, shiny surface): Apply the first layer with a roller and adjust with a trowel. Allow the paint to dry only slightly (the paint should still be wet, but it should not deform under the influence of the flat trowel). Then apply the second layer with a roller and immediately smooth it with a trowel (working in a flat way). During drying, to achieve a smooth surface, wipe the surface with the attached edge of the trowel. The intensity of the wiping determines the final glossy effect and the darkening of the surface. Do not rub the surface for too long, it may cause rolling or peeling of the paint. After 24 hours, wipe the wall with a soft brush to strengthen the nol grains so that the effect is stable.
Concrete effect with depressions (mint surface): Apply the first layer with a roller and adjust with a stainless steel trowel according to the thickness of the grain. Let it dry for 12-24 hours depending on the temperature and humidity of the air. Apply the second layer also using a roller. Straighten irregularly with a trowel. Characteristic depressions and irregularities are formed during the treatment. They are required for this effect - it creates the characteristic look of raw concrete. If necessary, you can add color in places. After achieving the desired effect, let it dry for 24 hours. Afterwards, wipe the surface with a brush to strengthen the loose grains so that the effect is stable.
Concrete paint makes it possible to create different decorative effects depending on the method of application and the inventiveness of the contractor. It can be dyed using dyes from the Primacol Decorative series.
Effects Security:
The surface should be protected using products from the Primacol Decorative range. This prevents the grains from falling out and makes cleaning easier. Apply the decorative varnish gently and evenly in a thin layer using a brush or roller. Apply a second coat if necessary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:
To paint the entire surface, we recommend using products from one production batch. Otherwise, it is necessary to mix the contents of all packages in one container. The color shown on the packaging may differ from the actual color due to printing options and cannot be a reason for a complaint. To find out the exact color, ask the seller for a swatch with actual coatings.
Store at a temperature from 5 to 25 °C, in a tightly closed package and do not expose to sunlight. Another layer after 24 hours.
Notice:

IF IN EYES: Rinse carefully with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if worn and if they can be removed easily. Continue rinsing. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water.
